Today a delegation of BMS had met Union Minister Shri Mansukh Mandaviyaji and discussed different problems of the Public Sector industries in Kerala. The delegation also brought to his notice the Problems faced by Medical representatives in Kerala particularly in Zydus Pharmaceuticals. The meeting has been arranged by Shri V Muraleedharan, Union Minister of State who hails from Kerala. The delegation consists of Shri Satyan, General Secretary FACT Employees Union of BMS, Shri Girish Arya, All India Secretary and Shri B.Surendran, All India Organising Secretary. The delegation highlighted the issues of FACT, Hindustan Insecticide Limited (HIL) and Hindustan Latex Limited (HLL).BMS opposed the disinvestment in HIL. It demanded product diversification with a joint venture with any PSU instead of closing down HIL. BMS also raised the wage settlement issues, increasing the retirement age to 60 years etc. It demanded orders for HLL. The Minister responded positively and promised an early action to protect workers interests.
