In West Bengal TMC goondas attacked BMS activists throughout the State. It should be noted that for the last one and half year BMS has expanded its work in many parts of the State. Work has started in many new areas. This has developed a bit of jealousy among TMC Unions. Taking electoral victory as an opportunity, the goons started vandalism.
Attacks were made in the Northern part Cooch Bihar to Southern Tip Medinipur. In few places Union offices destroyed, Some places captured Union Offices, Karkartas houses destroyed, Karyakatas vehicles damaged. The goons also severely damaged the Totos(Battery Riksha) belonging to BMS karyakartas.
In South 24 Paraganas some Karyakartas left their places just to save their lives. Many people are in Hospitals. In Kolkata, our Hawkers Union leaders shops burnt after looting entire goods and cash. In Asansol dist and other places Contract Workers ID cards, Gate passes were snatched and also threatened with dire consequences. Now they will lose their jobs.
BMS strongly condemns these brutal acts. With these terror tactics, TMC wants to stop the growth of BMS. These types of acts will not yield any long-range benefit to TMC Unions. All the BMS activists will face situations and build the Organisation as they did earlier. BMS requests the authorities to take stern action on these
