The 113th ILC has begun in Geneva, with the Indian delegation actively participating in all groups.

The 113th International Labour Conference (ILC) of the International Labour Organisation (ILO)on 2nd June 2025 in Geneva. ILC is a Tripartite body consisting of Workers’ organisations, Employers Associations and Government Officials.
The Inaugural session was held at the Plenary Hall, Smt. Vandana Gurnani, Secretary of Labour & Employment; Ambassador Arindam Bagchi of PMI Geneva; and Sri B. Surendran, Organising Secretary of BMS and Worker’s Delegate, attended.
There are four committees with different agendas.
1. Sri B Surendran, BMS, lead the Committee on the Application of Standards (CA S);
2. Sri K. Somasekhar, AIUTUC, led the Committee on Platform Economy (CNP). The other members are- Sri Jaywant Bhosale & Smt. Smita Patel of HMS, Sri Dipak Saha, UTUC; Smt.Debasree Kalai, BMS; Sri Bijoy Jena, AITUC;
3. Kum Manali Shah of SEWA is leading the Committee on the Transition from Informality (CDG). The other members are -Sri Ramnath Ganeshe & Smt. Neelam Sharma, BMS; Smt Dasminder Kaur, AITUC; 4. Sri S Mallesham, BMS, is leading the Committee on Protection from Biological Hazards (CNB). Sri K. N. Umesh, CITU, and Dr Virat Jaiswal, NFITU, are members of the Committee.
Sri Atul Sobti of SCOPE leads the Employers Group, and the Labour Secretary, Madam, leads the Government delegation. The Indian delegation is actively and enthusiastically participating in discussions taking place in various committees.
Smt. Vandana Gurnani, Secretary of Labour and Employment, hosted a dinner on the evening of June 2. Amb. Arinadam Bagchi of the Permanent Mission of India (PMI) welcomed the delegation. Smt. Vandana Gurnani, Sri B. Surendran, and Sri Atul Sobti spoke on the concerns and points for achieving consensus. The Labour Secretary, Madam, appealed to the delegation to bring consensus and have a single Voice of India.
