A delegation of central bms consisting of shri B. Surendran (Organizing Secretary, BMS) ,shri M. Jagadiswara Rao (Vice President, BMS) , shri Chandrakant alias Anna dhumal (Prabhari, Port & Dock Mazdoor Mahasangh, BMS) ,and shri K Bhavani Sankarudu (President, Port & Dock Mazdoor Mahasangh, BMS) .Discussed the following issues with Hon’ble Minister shri sarbananda sonovalji at Hyderabad.1. Uniform promotion policy for port employees in all ports 2. Secret ballot elections for labour trustees in all ports as per amended port authority bill. 3. Immediate start wage negotiation for port employees. 4. Contract labour should be treated on par with regular workers for wages and perks. 5. Seafarers and sailors issues regarding pension and job security. Likewise some of the policy matters related to port development also discussed. Honble Minister heard the bms views patiently and assured for positive steps soon.
